Areas of Support
How can DEEC help you?
Every individual brings a unique set of strengths, experiences, and goals. The services listed below highlight some of the ways support may be provided, but they are not intended to be an exhaustive list. If you do not see your specific concern represented, please reach out to discuss your needs and determine how I may be able to help.
-
A comprehensive psycho-educational evaluation provides an in-depth understanding of an individual's unique learning profile. Through interviews, records review, rating scales, and standardized assessments, the evaluation examines how a person learns, thinks, processes information, and functions across settings.
These evaluations are often appropriate when there are multiple questions regarding learning, attention, emotional functioning, social development, adaptive skills, behavior, or overall educational performance. Rather than focusing solely on areas of difficulty, the evaluation is designed to uncover strengths, clarify challenges, and provide a deeper understanding of the whole individual.
Findings are integrated into a comprehensive written report that offers meaningful insights, diagnostic clarification when appropriate, and practical recommendations to support growth, self-advocacy, and long-term success.
-
ADHD evaluations are designed to assess attention, executive functioning, self-regulation, and related factors that may impact success at school, work, home, or in daily life. The evaluation process integrates information from interviews, records review, rating scales, and standardized assessments to determine whether an individual meets criteria for Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and to identify strengths, challenges, and support needs.
Regardless of whether a diagnosis is identified, the evaluation provides meaningful insight and individualized recommendations to support long-term success.
-
Autism evaluations provide a comprehensive assessment of social communication, behavior, developmental history, adaptive functioning, and related areas to determine whether an individual meets criteria for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The evaluation process seeks to understand how an individual experiences and interacts with the world while identifying strengths, support needs, and recommendations that promote meaningful growth and self-understanding.
Regardless of whether a diagnosis is identified, the evaluation provides a deeper understanding of the individual's unique profile and recommendations to support success across settings.
-
Learning disability evaluations assess the cognitive and academic processes involved in reading, written language, and mathematics. Through interviews, records review, rating scales, and standardized assessments, the evaluation seeks to determine whether an individual meets criteria for a Specific Learning Disorder and to identify patterns consistent with dyslexia, dysgraphia, and/or dyscalculia.
The goal of the evaluation is to develop a comprehensive understanding of how an individual learns while identifying strengths, challenges, and support needs. Regardless of whether a diagnosis is identified, the evaluation provides meaningful insights and individualized recommendations designed to support learning, confidence, and long-term success.
-
Social-emotional evaluations are designed to better understand emotional, behavioral, and interpersonal factors that may be impacting learning, daily functioning, relationships, or overall well-being. These evaluations may be helpful when there are concerns related to anxiety, mood, emotional regulation, social skills, behavioral challenges, self-esteem, or adjustment difficulties.
The evaluation process is tailored to the individual's unique concerns and provides meaningful insights along with practical recommendations to support growth, well-being, and success across settings.
-
Gifted and twice-exceptional evaluations help identify advanced cognitive abilities while also exploring potential learning, attention, or developmental differences that may impact performance.
These evaluations provide insight into the unique profile of gifted learners and offer recommendations that support both strengths and areas of need.
